Application Directions
Substrate Preparation
The surface must be clean and free from all loose particles including dust, laitance, greases, coatings, curing compounds or any other foreign matter. The substrate must be prepared by way of degreasing, grinding or captive shot blasting to expose the aggregate and provide a suitable profile. Allow floor to dry if degreasing has been carried out before applying Enviro Epoxy Tuff HD. New concrete surfaces should be cured for 28 days prior to any preparation and/or Enviro Epoxy application.
Priming
Apply 1 coat of Enviro Epoxy B-LV to prepared substrate at a rate of 8-10m²/L. Allow Epoxy B-LV to become “tacky” and ensure no pinholes exist before proceeding. Enviro Epoxy Tuff HD should be applied within 24 hours of priming to ensure optimum adhesion.
Mixing
All mixing to be carried out by slow speed mechanical means (approx 400rpm). Add Part A to a suitable clean mixing vessel (If using a colour pack, ensure colour pack is added to Part A and mixed well until uniform. Slowly add Part B to the vessel and mix well. While continually mixing, slowly add the filler (aggregate) and mix until uniform (approximately 2-3 minutes) after final addition of filler to ensure a homogeneous, uniform mix.
Application
Mix only sufficient materials as can be applied in the specified work time. Spread evenly over the prepared surface to a minimum 3mm thickness. Wipe trowel occasionally with Enviro Thinner No.1 to assist with application.
If a greater non skid surface is required, broadcast aggregate into Enviro Epoxy Tuff HD immediately after trowelling to desired finish. Cured Enviro Epoxy Tuff HD can be over coated with Enviro Epoxy RC.
Estimating Data & Packaging
One 20 litre Enviro Epoxy Tuff HD (Part A & Part B) mixed with 60 litres of filler will cover approximately 26.7m² at 3mm. Enviro Epoxy Tuff HD (Part A & Part B) is available in 20 litre and 60 litre kits.
Curing
Pedestrian Traffic – 24 hours
Vehicle Traffic – 48 hours
Cleaning
Enviro Epoxy Tuff HD should be removed from all tools and equipment prior to hardening with Enviro Thinner No.1 or Thinner No.7. Observe all OH&S and MSDS information pertaining to safe usage and handling of solvents. Cured material can be only removed mechanically.
Shelf Life
Enviro Epoxy Tuff HD can be stored in its original sealed containers for 24 months in controlled environments.
