Application Directions
Substrate Preparation
The surface must be clean, and free from all loose particles including dust, laitance, grease, coatings, curing compounds or any other foreign matter. The concrete substrate must be prepared by way of degreasing, grinding or captive shot blasting to expose the aggregate and provide a profile. Allow floor to dry if degreasing has been carried out before applying Enviro Epoxy B-NS.
Priming
Priming may be required in certain circumstances. If required apply Enviro Epoxy B at a rate of 8m²/ltr. Refer to Waterproofing Technologies for specific recommendations.
Mixing
Add Part B, paste hardener to the Enviro Epoxy B-NS Part A liquid base. Mix using slow speed mechanical mixing equipment with suitable mixing paddle attached. Mix for 5 minutes or until uniform.
Application
Enviro Epoxy B-NS can be applied using a trowel or squeegee. Apply sufficient material to completely fill void ensuring material is worked well into and completely wets out the substrate.
When using Epoxy B-NS to prepare a non sag mortar mix parts A and B thoroughly and then add clean 600um aggregate in the ratio 2 aggregate : 1 epoxy. Enviro Epoxy B-NS can also be used as primer/binder for a wide variety of systems such as Enviro HP 1200, Enviro Epoxy TC, Enviro Epoxy RC, Enviro Epoxy WB and also polyurethane and acrylic membranes. Refer to appropriate data sheet for application recommendations.
Estimating Data
The consumption of Enviro Epoxy B-NS will depend upon substrate condition or type.
Packaging
Enviro Epoxy B-NS is supplied in 6 ltr and 12 ltr kits proportioned ready for mixing.
Chemical Resistance
Enviro Epoxy B-NS is resistant to a large range of chemicals and is suitable for most dilute acids and alkalines. Contact Waterproofing Technologies for recommendations on specific applications.
Curing
Enviro Epoxy B-NS generally can be recoated after allowing to cure overnight. Repairs can go into service generally 24 hours after curing. The product must be allowed to cure for 7 days at 25?C, before being subjected to chemicals.
Cleaning
Enviro Epoxy B-NS should be removed from all tools and equipment, prior to hardening, with Enviro Thinners No.7. Observe all OH&S and MSDS information pertaining to safe usage and handling of solvents. Cured material can only be removed mechanically.
Shelf Life
Enviro Epoxy B-NS can be store in its original sealed containers for 24 months in controlled environments.
